Back focus (back focus) adjustment problem
Due to the uneven target surface of the camera image sensor and the difference in back focal length between different lenses, the back focus (back focus) adjustment technology of the camera has always been a technology that fixed gun camera manufacturers need to focus on. The early back focus adjustment method is mainly the back focus adjustment ring + back focus locking screw. The locking screw is easy to damage the thread of the adjustment ring after multiple adjustments, which affects the stability of the back focus; the other method is the inclined self-locking type The adjustment mechanism is usually made of plastic materials, and under extreme conditions, the rear coke may be out of focus due to thermal expansion and contraction. In addition, some new methods are to use more precise and reliable screw focusing mechanism, but the cost of the manufacturer's investment in the mold will be more.

Regarding the problem of the gun camera running out of focus after a period of use, users and manufacturers have their own solutions. Users (or engineering companies) usually only send technicians to the site for processing. In terms of network monitoring, the monitoring front-end equipment is distributed far, which will also greatly increase the monitoring and maintenance cost; and a few manufacturers also add electronic rear focus adjustment mechanisms to the cameras But this undoubtedly also increases the cost of the camera.

night vision problem
Both users and manufacturers hope that the camera can bring the same excellent picture quality during the day and night. In order to achieve all-weather monitoring, in addition to expecting high-sensitivity and high-sensitivity image sensors, manufacturers have to use a variety of methods to improve image effects in low-illuminance environments. However, no matter how low the minimum illuminance value is marked by the product, there is still a certain gap between the nighttime monitoring effect and the daytime. As far as the gun camera is concerned, the lens has a significant impact on the camera's low illumination. Of course, an excellent image sensor in a low-light environment, a stable and reliable filter mechanism, a good lens, and an excellent image enhancement algorithm are all required for a good gun camera product. Zoom problem
Many of the box camera lenses currently on the market are automatic iris manual zoom type, with a focal length of several millimeters to tens of millimeters, and the focal length needs to be adjusted and locked during installation. Therefore, the camera can only be used in occasions where the monitoring range is limited, such as indoors, corridors, parking lot entrances and other places where the monitoring position is relatively fixed. Of course, the gun-type camera can also use an electric zoom lens, but the electric lens technology is complicated and the production cost is high, so the electric lenses on the market are relatively expensive. The lens manufacturer adopts strict selection of lens materials, adopts alloy materials commonly used in aerospace technology, and is processed by high-precision CNC machine tools at one time. The connection between the lens and the lens base is fastened with a locking ring to improve the stability of the camera. This kind of zoom lens is usually used in special occasions such as forest environment and fire monitoring, border defense, etc. It is difficult for ordinary users to popularize it. In addition, due to the problem of network delay, the problem of manual control of secondary focus after electric zoom is undoubtedly another big problem.
