4200 software preview code stream switching guide
The 4200 software preview automatically switches the stream type by default. When the big picture or four-picture preview is used, the main stream will be selected; when there are many preview pictures, it will switch to the sub stream preview.
When to use substream?
In comparison with the main stream preview, the client software operation may take up computer resources, so it may freeze. At this time, you can forcibly switch to the sub-stream preview. Switching method: Tools-System Configuration-Image, enable the automatic change of stream type and cancel the check. Return to the main preview, right-click the monitoring point folder, and select all sub-streams.
When to use the main stream?
Some devices do not support sub-stream, only the main stream. At this time, if there are too many preview channels to get the sub-stream, error code 23 will be displayed.
