Five Key Elements of High‑Quality Image

.Resolution = Fineness of Image DetailsResolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. For a given screen size, higher resolution means more pixels and renders finer details. 4K UHD resolution is 3840×2160, which delivers four times the amount of image data compared with standard Full‑HD.

.Bit Depth = Gradation Smoothness of ColorsBit depth indicates the number of colors each pixel can reproduce. Greater bit depth supports more colors and achieves smoother, more natural color gradation. For instance, an 8‑bit display can render approximately 16.77 million distinct colors, while a 10‑bit display can reproduce around 1.07 billion colors.

.Frame Rate = Smoothness of MotionFrame rate is the number of images displayed per second. Movies are commonly shot at 24p (24 images or frames per second), whereas standard television typically operates at 60i or 30p (30 frames per second).

.Color Gamut = Color VividnessColor gamut represents the full range of reproducible colors. The chart on the right illustrates the full scope of RGB values perceivable by the human eye, and the triangle denotes the color gamut: the larger the triangle, the more colors can be displayed.

.Luminance = Illumination Intensity of ImageLuminance stands for the range of reproducible image illumination intensity. The scale difference between the dimmest and brightest objects detectable by human eyes (dynamic range) is commonly quoted as 10¹². By contrast, conventional display devices can only reach a dynamic range of up to 10³. HDR expands dynamic range to 10⁵ — a 100‑fold improvement over legacy displays, so highlights and shadows are rendered much closer to real‑world human visual perception.
