1. What is an IP Camera An IP camera, short for IPC (IP Camera). Here, "IP" stands for Internet Protocol, which is the core communication protocol widely used in the Internet and computer networks. An IP camera can directly generate standardized digital video streams and transmit data via wired or wireless networks, completely breaking the geographical limitations of traditional surveillance. Users can achieve remote real-time monitoring and video recording storage anywhere with a network connection. Meanwhile, it greatly reduces cabling construction and material costs, providing reliable support for cross-regional and borderless intelligent surveillance. 2. Working Principle of IP Cameras Integrated with image acquisition, digital encoding, network transmission and other functions, an IP camera operates through four core processes. First, the image sensor converts the optical signals of the shooting scene into original electrical signals to complete image acquisition. Second, the built-in processor processes the signals and compresses them into standard digital video streams through encoding technologies such as H.265 and H.264, reducing transmission and storage occupancy. Then, based on the IP network protocol, the video streams are transmitted to NVRs, servers or client devices via network cables, Wi-Fi and other methods. Finally, users can conduct real-time preview, video storage, remote playback and management through terminals such as computers and mobile phones, realizing full-process digital surveillance without geographical restrictions. 3.
