I. CM2001S encoding control hub—fully channel-compatible, enabling integration without debugging.

The CM2001S SDI encoding control board serves as the control core of the entire imaging system. Its hardware features a six-layer military-grade gold-plated PCB, copper MAX connectors, an industrial-grade ARM microcontroller, and imported chips. Made from high-strength materials, it effectively eliminates (cold solder joints) and contact failures, making it well-suited for long-term operation under harsh industrial conditions characterized by vibration and extreme temperatures. The board is equipped with a dedicated LVDS interface that connects directly to the FCB-EV9520L camera module. Upon power-up, it automatically detects and configures the camera’s output parameters, enabling seamless image adaptation and output without any manual settings required. The hardware control channels include dual RS485 ports, one RS232-TTL port, IO expansion ports, and physical buttons. It comes with built-in power-loss memory and command-pass-through functionality; after a device reboot, it automatically retains the previous control parameters, ensuring uninterrupted operation. At the protocol level, the board supports three major protocols—SONY VISCA, PELCO-P, and PELCO-D—and features a default auto-detection mode. The baud rate can be set to 2400/4800/9600/115200, and the device ID defaults to 1 but can be freely modified. The board is fully compatible with Sony FCB and CM series camera modules as well as domestically produced cameras that support the VISCA protocol. It supports all video signal formats, including 720P50/60, 1080I50/60, and 1080P25/30/50/60, perfectly matching all output specifications of the FCB-EV9520L. The overall dimensions of the unit are 50mm×50mm, with standard mounting holes measuring 45mm×45mm and a hole diameter of 2mm. Its compact size makes it easy to integrate into pan-tilt units, dome cameras, airborne devices, and other small-scale onboard or vehicle-mounted equipment.

II. FCB-EV9520L Sony HD image sensor, leveraging the encoding master controller to unleash full-dimensional imaging capabilities.

Under the stable communication and scheduling provided by the CM2001S encoding board, all imaging functions of the FCB-EV9520L module are fully implemented. The module is equipped with a 1/2.8-inch STARVIS 2 CMOS sensor featuring 2.13 million effective pixels and delivering native 1920×1080 full HD output. In high-sensitivity mode, with ICR turned off, the minimum illumination level is as low as 0.009 lux; when ICR is enabled and infrared mode is activated, the minimum illumination can drop to as low as 0.00008 lux. The module also supports ICR ON COLOR night-time color infrared mode, enabling it to produce colorful images even in low-light conditions and delivering outstanding starlight-level night vision performance. The optical configuration includes a 30x optical zoom with a focal length ranging from 4.3mm to 129mm, combined with a 12x digital zoom for a maximum total magnification of 360x. The wide-angle horizontal field of view is 64°, while the telephoto mode offers a narrow field of view of only 2.4°, striking a perfect balance between wide-area surveillance and detailed observation at long distances. Standard features include Super/Super+ super stabilization, which significantly reduces image blurring caused by vibrations from drones, autonomous driving systems, and shipborne equipment. Additionally, the module boasts a native optical axis correction function, ensuring precise image capture in surveying and measurement applications. Built-in Wide-D dynamic range algorithm automatically optimizes brightness levels in both bright and dark areas by layering exposure adjustments, effectively addressing issues caused by backlighting or extreme contrast between light and shadow. The module supports customizable focus, exposure, and white balance settings via a 6×8 grid, allowing for sharper and more detailed close-up monitoring of specific areas. It also integrates practical features such as defogging, multi-level 2D+3D noise reduction, motion detection, privacy masking, electronic flip, slow shutter, and temperature reading, making it well-suited for complex shooting environments across various industries. The module operates within a temperature range of -5°C to +60°C, powered by a 7–12V DC supply, with a typical power consumption of 4.4W and a peak motor power draw of 5.4W, ensuring reliable long-term operation in outdoor and vehicular applications.
